Innovative Storytelling: Audience First

My session was called, “Why news storytelling is broken and how we can fix it.”

What are stories for? Why do we need news? Maybe journalism’s broken and we’re doing it all wrong? In this session, we confronted these fundamental questions head-on, and talked about how we can build new journalism that is truly inclusive and helps us all understand the world better. We looked at how neuroscience, anthropology, and user-centered design can help us create newsrooms that are fit for the future.
