Engagement through Storytelling

Speaking at journalism.co.uk‘s news:rewired conference, I brought together the learnings from my news storytelling research and my experience in community organising to talk about how we can drive audience engagement.

We need to tell stories that are genuinely useful to citizens, and help “orientate” them in the world, and we need to (re)build trust. That’s not something that happens overnight, but something that takes time, effort and commitment.
