How do we build a journalism that better reflects society, provides citizens with the information they need to participate, and inspires trust?

To help answer that question, I reflected on how new approaches to investigative journalism can help us reconnect with our mission and our audience at the same time.

Drawing on my work as a community organiser at the UK’s Bureau of Investigative Journalism, and my research at Cardiff University Journalism School, I explored how the future of investigative journalism could, and perhaps should, be people-powered.
