Video Interview: Abandon the inverted pyramid. It’s time to rebuild the news.

I recently spoke to Peggy Anne Salz about my Clwstwr research into new forms of storytelling, for Digital Content Next’s Interview Series.

We spoke about how media organisations need to do a critical rethink, but not just of the business model. I suggested that they’re relying on a faulty content-creation and evaluation formula in which the practice of journalism has become disengaged from its fundamental purpose.. The good news is that there’s plenty they can do to rethink storytelling to better engage audiences.
